Project Description:
The technically obsolete power stations Lassach and Obervellach I will be replaced by the new power station Obervellach II. This increases energy generation by 35 % to 125 GWh/year.
he following system components are to be set up:
- Water collection of the creeks Mallnitzbach, Dosenbach and Kaponigbach
- Headrace-, inclined and storage galleries with a total length of 4,864 m
- 1,600 m pressure pipeline with a diameter of 1,800 mm
- 2,250 m pressure pipeline with a diameter of 700 mm as a by-pass of the creek Kaponigbach
- Small hydropower station Kaponigbach
- Powerhouse Obervellach II for 2 machinery sets with Pelton turbines including a tailwater channel and compensating resevoir with a volume of 60,000 m³
