Project Description:

The project bypass Weyer on the B 121 Weyerer Straße in upper Austria involves the construction of two new tunnel tubes. The whole construction lot has a length of 1.2 km. It includes the construction of two mining tunnel tubes – Tunnel Weyer 1 with a length of 612 m and Tunnel Weyer 2 with a length of 65 m also a bridge structure over the lake Dürnbach, two roundabouts and an extra traffic junction after the tunnel Weyer 2.

The excavation of the two tunnel tubes took place in loose soil material. At sensitive areas the construction characteristics are improved due to tunnelling attendant grouting. In approx. the middle of the longer tunnel there is an emergency exit by crosscut and a shaft to construct. Both tunnels as well as the crosscut and the shaft get a insitu concrete lining.
